PhD in Business Administration covering infrastructure financing from the Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL), Malaysia.

Dr. Nepal is a finance professional with experience in project studies (financial and economic appraisal), project evaluation and implementation monitoring, studies on public-private partnership project and projects with user groups and community participation, financial modelling of infrastructure projects including hydropower, drinking water supply, solid waste management, financial system development and standard operating procedure development, organization operation, financial management, compliance, project management and corporate financial management, financial control, reporting, compliance and audit, insurance businesses as well as statistics and data collection. In addition, he has academic experiences covering resource person for training programs on corporate finance, project finance, financial management and management audit. He has also contributed as key note speaker of various summits of Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal Institute, Norway in various topics including different aspect of social entrepreneurship and successfully fulfilled the role of an assistant professor in pedagogical internship of the institute.

Dr. Nepal has published research papers in various national and international journals with topics covering the public-private partnership for infrastructure development and financing, project governance, project risk and incidence of transaction cost and corporate governance as well as social entrepreneurship and political economy and economic history. In addition, he has contributed a book chapter on rationalizing solid waste management service fee in Nepal of the book titled enhancing municipal finance in Nepal, 2019 funded by the UNCDF and published by the government undertaking of Nepal.

Dr. Nepal has also obtained Social Entrepreneur IBS (Diploma) from Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal Institute, Norway. Under the fellowship of the institute his areas of planned study under the fellowship of the institute cover independent science, social innovation, entrepreneurship and profit theories, economic history and philosophies as well as political economy and factors influencing social entrepreneurship. He is currently working on his scientific dissertation for the Patron of Philosophy title of the institute.
