GopalPrasadTiwariMr Gopal Prasad Tiwari, a Lecturer and Economist, representing from the Southwestern State College, Kathmandu, Nepal has been granted Honorary Research Fellowship for exchange visit to Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal Institute, Norway.

The exchange visit is scheduled from June 4 to June 14, 2016 in Norway. This exchange visit is organized as per the Articles 2 and 3 in Cooperation Agreement signed between the Southwestern State College and Fil Dr. Jan-U Sandal Institute.

 

Mr Tiwari is a Ph.D Scholar specializing on “Improvement of Business Environment in Nepal”. He has worked more than 15 years in different national and international organizations like the UNDP, International Labour Organization (ILO)-United Nations, International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank Group, influential media houses, among others in senior positions. Currently, he is greatly involved with the Nepal Business Forum (NBF) as the Head of the Secretariat. NBF is a Public Private Dialogue institute created by the Government back in 2010 in an attempt to improve investment climate jointly with the Nepal’s private sector.

 

His special interest is on scientific research focusing on “Social and Innovative Entrepreneurship” including other topics such as private sector development, investment climate, public private dialogue and export sector to promote the economy of Nepal. He graduated from the Social Entrepreneur School IBS in February 2016 under the supervision of Prof Dr Jan Urban Sandal, Head of the Fil Dr Jan-U Sandal Institute. This Independent Institute has been recognized as influential part of different Universities in the world both in Europe and Asian continents on innovation management and social entrepreneurship.

 

Mr Tiwari writes regularly since the past 15 years on contemporary national economic issues and innovation management and has already published hundreds of research articles in highly circulated different English daily newspapers from Nepal. He has been bestowed with fellows/scholars from different Universities/Institutions of the world including Netherlands and India. He currently serves as an Honorary Secretary General of Nepal Economic Association (NEA), a national organizations of economists. He seems quite passionate and interesting person when it comes to creating new ideas and innovation management. He loves to share ideas, collaborate on research and contribute for the betterment of research on social entrepreneurship, innovation management, private sector development, investment climate, public private dialogue, agriculture sector, export, WTO related issues, among others.
